Places to See

Space Needle

A trip to Seattle wouldn’t be complete without visiting the Space Needle, the 605-foot structure that adorns dozens of postcards from Washington. The round observation deck that is situated at 520-feet high offers a beautiful view of the city and the Olympic Mountains nearby.

Sky View Observatory

Frequently regarded as a hidden gem, the Sky View Observatory is located in the tallest building in Seattle and features 360 degrees of unobstructed views. Admission allows you return access on the same day so you can go in the morning and evening for two different views.

Ballard Locks

For the last 100 years, boats have been able to access an easy route from Lake Union and Lake Washington to the Puget Sound using this lock. The Ballard Locks contains some of the country’s heaviest boat traffic, so stop by to see the neverending rush of yachts, tugs, motorboats and more.

Enter A World of Glass

Located a short walk from the Space Needle is the Chihuly Garden and Glass, which features a large collection of vibrant blown glass from the artist Dale Chihuly. Watch a video in the theater to learn about the glass blowing process or see if there is an event occurring while you’re there.

Stroll Through the Garden

The Washington Park Arboretum houses more than 5,500 different plans from around the world. Visit the Seattle Japanese Garden that is located on the premises to see a spread of azaleas in beautiful colors, the perfect spot for a picture!

Visit the Original Neighborhood of Seattle

Pioneer Square is designated as the city’s “first neighborhood” and is bustling whether you attend during the day or night. The square is filled with delicious food spots, trendy shops, historical exhibits and much more.

Take a Ride On The Seattle Great Wheel

Pier 57 showcases the tallest Ferris wheel on the West Coast at 175 feet tall. All the cabins are roomy and climate-controlled so you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the Puget Sound in comfort.

Check Out CenturyLink Field

See the stomping grounds for not only the Seattle Seahawks, but also the Seattle Sounders. Take a tour of the field and get up close and personal with behind the scenes areas and views.

See a Show at Paramount Theatre

One of Seattle’s premiere attractions is Paramount historic theatre that has been entertaining the people of Seattle since the 1920’s. The prime location to laugh along with a comedian or just to gaze in wonder at the opulent interior design.

Paseo Caribbean Food

With over 4.5k reviews on Yelp, this sandwich shop has created quite the buzz in Seattle. Locals and tourists alike boast about one item in particular, the Classic Caribbean Roast sandwich, as a must if you choose to stop here.

Pike Place Chowder

A trip to Seattle wouldn’t be complete with chowder! And if you can’t settle on one flavor, you can grab the sampler which gives you a 5 oz taste of a little of everything. Enjoy your chowder or grab a lobster roll and sit outside to listen to live music on the patio. Pike Place Chowder is located in the well-known Pike Market.

 

Tilikum Place Cafe

This cafe features a large assortment of European American dishes for brunch that it will be hard to settle on just one! Noted as a go-to breakfast spot in Seattle, visitors recommend the famous “Dutch Baby” dish as a must.

The casual atmosphere of this pub paired with the unique decor has not only 32 taps but a never-ending rotation of primarily regional beers. Grab a brew and play some pool in this modern location.
